Priya Sundram is an artist and designer based in London. Her practice involves collaborating with cultural institutions, communities, publishers and other creatives to uncover hidden narratives and engage underrepresented audiences. Her work spans print, projection, installation, animation, and fabric design.
She is also the co-director of Studio Carrom, a multidisciplinary UK/India design studio, which she runs with her regular collaborator, graphic designer and design historian Nia Thandapani. Her wider network of collaborators includes the V&A, National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House, William Morris Gallery, University of Cambridge, Imperial War Museum, Cambridge Botanic Garden, Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, British Council, Waltham Forest Council, rb&h Arts, Financial Times, Vital Arts, LA Times, British Medical Journal, and The Big Issue.
Priya holds a BA in Illustration from Camberwell, an MA in Communication Art & Design from the Royal College of Art, and an MA in Curating Collections and Heritage from the University of Brighton. She has also taught as an Associate Lecturer on the MA Illustration program at Camberwell.
